EPIC Update! Backerkit Surveys Coming Next Week!

Hey, hope you had an awesome weekend, EPIC Backers! We just wanted to provide a quick update on how we're progressing, one-week post campaign conclusion.
First, we wanted to let you know that Kickstarter finished processing credit cards over the weekend, and was able to successfully collect 97% of the pledges. However, that means that 12 backers' pledges were unable to be collected and they were dropped on Kickstarter. The good news is that those backers will be able to recover those pledges through the BACKERKIT SURVEY we'll be sending next week, once Kickstarter sends across payment.
Books are Nearly Ready to Print!
For this campaign, we'll need to print the new issue EPIC #4 as well as a new collected trade edition. The good news is that both are about 98% complete, with just a few bits of formatting and backmatter left to pull together. We expect to have that entirely sorted so that we'll be ready to print as soon as the Kickstarter funds come through.
EPIC STANDEES ARE COMING!
So, we finished the campaign just short of our $15K stretch goal which would have made an EPIC standee available as super cool add-on. Well, after crunching a few numbers, we realized that with international shipping we're anticipating collecting through Backerkit after the campaign is over, we will technically easily blow past that 15K milestone afterall... So we've decided to greenlight EPIC standees after all!
When you get your Backerkit survey, you'll have the opportunity to easily add a 6 in. EPIC acrylic standee to your pledge! We're super excited to get our hands on this colorful shelf-display featuring many of the heroes and villains from the EPIC U. We hope some of you decide to grab one as well!

EPIC backers, we can't thank you enough for our strong finish on Kickstarter over the weekend! We're proud to report that on our final day, we blew past 400 backers and unlocked our $14K stretch goal to hook all physical backers up with a new DADDY LONG LEGS Metal Trading Card!
We had 190 RETURNING backers on this launch, and it's such a thrill to be able to count on our longtime fans to come back for more from us...even if EPIC is a totally different vibe from the darker horror stuff ComixTribe is most known for.
Likewise, with this campaign, we also brought in 215 FIRSTTIME COMIXTRIBE BACKERS, who were willing to take a step into the EPIC universe for the first time. We're happy to welcome you all into the ComixTribe fold and think you'll love what you find here!

We just got in some colors from our pal Wes Hartman on Matt's amazing cover for the new EPIC Vol 1 trade! We love the pop this one gives to EPIC and the awesome cast of characters you'll find in the pages therein.
NOTE: Don't worry, if you didn't get a chance to add-on the GRAPHIC NOVEL on Kickstarter, you'll have a chance to do so on Backerkit.

NEXT STEPS FOR EPIC...
This week, we'll complete the backmatter and finalize print files for the new issue and the trade collection, before sending it over to our printer next week.
We're currently in the 2 week funding freeze period, where Kickstarter is processing pledges on our behalf.
92.2% of pledges have already been successfully processed via Kickstarter. That leaves 31 backers whose pledges have errored. This is a simple fix, and usually means your credit card info with Kickstarter is not up to date.
To update your payment information, simply log into Kickstarter and update your account. (Kickstarter will also send you an email to fix this.)
NOTE: If you're having trouble getting this fixed, it's usually best to try to do it from the desktop vs the phone app, which can be a little buggy. Please resolve those pledges ASAP, so we can get you your rewards without delay.
Next Step: Surveys
If you're new to Kickstarter, you may be wondering how we'll know where to send your rewards, or if you ordered a T-Shirt how we'll get the details on your order. Not to worry...
After Kickstarter finishes doing its thing and collects pledges from all backers, we'll send you a short SHIPPING SURVEY powered by BACKERKIT to fill out which will let you tell us where to send your physical and digital rewards.
Also, while shipping for US backers was included on Kickstarter, we will be using Backerkit to tally up all of our international orders total shipping weights so we can charge you only what it will actually cost us to ship your package to you. We'll be collecting those shipping fees through Backerkit, via Paypal or CC.
Prompt survey fulfillment = faster fulfillment, so we do hope you'll get yours in ASAP after we send it.
Once we get the surveys out, we'll follow up with a time-table on expected rewards delivery.

The Neverland 1-4 series is "Hook" meets "The Neverending Story" when a boy embarks on a perilous journey to find Peter Pan and bring magic back to a broken Neverland.
Caleb says this is "a story about holding onto hope and love during difficult times. It’s a story about adapting to the changing world around us. It’s the story of a boy becoming the light a family needs in dark times."
Also, Tyler James had a chance to catch up with his pals Don Handfield and Clay Adams for a stream the other day, where they chatted about their project Prodigal Son and working with Martin Kove (Cobra Kai's Sensei Kreese) to bring the western to life.
Prodigal Son is about a twelve-year-old boy teams up with the meanest outlaw in the Old West to exact revenge on the gang that murdered his family in cold blood. The outlaw has his own reasons for wanting the gang dead, and as they pursue the killers deeper into the desert, the boy must decide who’s the greater threat to his soul—the merciless gang he pursues or the outlaw he rides with?

Hey, another awesome milestone crossed over the weekend, as this EPIC campaign surpassed over 300 Backers!
We also unlocked our 3rd STRETCH GOAL, which is going to be great news for all the ComixTribe "Pinheads" out there... because we're making an EPIC Enamel Pin available for the very first time!
Physical backers can add EPIC ENAMEL PINS to their order for just an extra +$10!

In Hospice: No Freedom in Texas, an immigrant couple on the run take shelter in a Texas hospice but find out the horrors inside may be worse than the ones outside.
We also wanted to shout out a unique Superhero Crossover Comic that is SOOOOO close to funding heading into it's final day!
The Relentless Adventure features two Kickstarter superhero comics combining for a special crossover issue. The comic sees Mark O. Stack's The Relentless Lark team up with Randy Stone's Bullet Adventures!
Whether you're a fan of both series... or haven't read either yet, this is another great introduction to the world of Kickstarter superhero comics and a perfect jumping on point!

Zolman and Lee - Back in Black
Got to check off one of my comic-book-bucket-lists items meeting the man himself, Jim Lee, this weekend at the Cincinnati Comic Expo. Even cooler was I got to show him some EPIC artwork in which he replied, "This looks really good!". I'm sure he was just being nice, but man... it was a pretty big moment for me seeing one of your childhood heroes looking at your hard work.
This positive energy is inspiring and I wanted to thank each and everyone of YOU for your support of our campaign to bring this new issue out to the world and looking forward to many more very soon!
